30 day Version Instructions
When you start the QFDcapture 30 day version, you will see a Project Roadmap with a number of
boxes drawn on it. These boxes represent the lists and matrices that make up the House of
Quality (HoQ) and the documentation that is contained within the QFD project.
Yellow boxes represent lists of information that will be prioritized. The WHATS list
is most commonly a set of customer requirements and is located on the left side of the
HoQ. The HOWS list may be a set of product specifications, decision options, features,
etc. and is located on the top of the HoQ below the ROOF.
Blue boxes represent the Relationship matrices that connect the WHATS to the HOWS. Blue
boxes can also represent the Tradeoff matrices, which indicate interrelationships between
the HOWS. Relationship matrices are located in the center of the HoQ. Tradeoff matrices
are located in the ROOF of the HoQ.
Maroon boxes represent documents that contain further descriptive
information about the project.
